The mission of Safe Horizons is to partner with the community to eliminate
domestic violence, sexual assault and homelessness.

Safe Horizons offers shelter and support services for survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault and homelessness. The services and support programs are delivered to the community in a variety of formats ranging from shelter and housing to support groups and legal assistance.

24 Hour Crisis Line

Safe Horizons operates a crisis line 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Trained operators provide crisis counseling, information and referrals for individuals experiencing domestic violence, sexual assault, and/or homelessness. For numbers, see bottom of page.

First Response

This program provides immediate assistance to survivors of sexual assault. Services depend on the needs and desires of the individual, but may include support to the individual. (See Carolyn's Place link.)

Outreach Services to Teens

This program is provided through teen groups throughout the country. The groups provide education and help teens deal with issues relating to self-esteem, establishing appropriate boundaries, sexual harassment, date rape, violence prevention, and anger management.
